辽宁工程技术大学（Liaoning Technical University）始建于1949年，原名阜新矿业学院，是原煤炭工业部隶属的两所全国重点大学之一、辽宁省国内一流大学建设高校[1][2]。 学校由辽宁省政府与应急管理部共建，先后入选国家大学生创新性实验计划实施高校，全国毕业生就业典型经验高校，卓越工程师教育培养计划高校[3]，中国政府奖学金来华留学生接收高校[4]，中西部高校基础能力建设工程重点建设高校，CDIO工程教育联盟成员单位，全国首批深化创新创业教育改革示范高校[5]，全国高校创新创业50强等。 据2019年9月学校官网显示，学校建有阜新校区中华路校园、玉龙校园和葫芦岛校区龙湾校园，占地4240亩，其中阜新校区占地1900亩、葫芦岛校区占地2340亩，校舍建筑面积73万平方米；拥有8个一级学科博士学位授权点、27个二级学科博士学位授权点、16个一级学科硕士学位授权点、60个硕士学位授权点；专任教师1484人，在册学生3.2万人，其中全日制在校博士生、硕士生、本科生、留学生2.6万人。

Liaoning Technical University was founded in 1949, formerly known as Fuxin Institute of Mining and Technology. It is one of the two national key universities under the former Ministry of Coal Industry and one of the domestic first-class universities in Liaoning Province. It has 8 doctorate programs in first-level disciplines, 27 doctorate programs in second-level disciplines, 16 master's programs in first-level disciplines, and 60 master's programs. There are 1,484 full-time faculty members and 32,000 registered students, including 26,000 full-time doctoral, master's, undergraduate and international students.
